Thrust arm bushings

Started noticing some pulling and looseness while breaking and going over bumps, took the car to the shop and was able to twist both thrust arms pretty easily by hand. I assume that means the bushings are shot, but how do I tell if the ball joints are bad also? There is no visible damage to the rubber...
I ordered 2 thrust arm bushings
http://www.autohausaz.com/search/pro...ol Arm Bushing

the ones for $27.69each

Should I also replace the ball joints or leave them alone?

If the vehicle pulls slightly to one side when braking at low speeds accompanied by small movement of the steering wheel most likely the cause is a lower ball joint which has excessive friction – part #2113300435 (list 70/net 56).

Yep, that seems to be the case also. How long do these ball joints actually last? I have 98k miles on my car.

Does the lower control arm has to be taken out to replace this ball joint?

Not a bad deal on this at autohausaz.com

I just replaced both sides,Thrust bushings & ball joints. If you need to check your ball joints, take a lever or large screw driver & pry from the underside of the control arm. You'll feel or see if the joint is loose.

The thrust bushings need to be pressed into the control arm. It's more work than you think. In my oppinion, it was better to replace the whole unit. I purchased them from www.rockauto.com for $100 per side. Cheap.

Good luck...
