It will do fine in sales, its just a matter of time for people to warm up to it. Just like the w211 and w221 on it's introduction. History repeats itself over and over.

well, i had a 2008 C300 and i switched to the 2008 E350 because i like the classic lines better than the redesigned mercedes lineup.

Its nice. Different from ours, but nice. Hopefully the interior dash isn't exactly like what the "spy shots" have been showing.

It is matter of human psychology, if you own something you need a feel that you own the best. In my opinion all generations of E class look good, I own previous and current generations and find beauty in every one. So I guess the next one will be awesome too.

Meh, it's just ok to me. I bet it'll look better in the AMG trim. Most MBs do.

From that angle it looks like a mini S. Is that LED Fog Lights a'la S6 or R32 GTR?

RE: W212

While in this pic it looks a bit dis-proportionate, like a limo with ultra long rear doors, I bet the real car will look better; lets hope the interior is o.k., some of the spy shots have been a little worrisome. We will see the car soon enough on the show circuit over the Winter, I'm mostly looking forward to it.

It can be dictated by an ordinary buyer profile, most MB buyers can be Asian, like me.

I just hope it has some of the legroom of the W210. The W211 greatly failed in that department. Also, the W211 became too mainstream unlike the W210 which was bold.
