you are better off leasing a CLS550, about 1k per month and more car.

Which year? Try to lease 09. You should get payments around $700 with so big down.

If you are in SFBA, try MB dealership in Fremont. They have good selection and willing to negotiate.

The residuals are terrible right now, hence the 1.6K monthly. MB is taking a beating on turn ins lately.

In this case it is worth to look for BMW 550i. Somebody stated that you can get $10K off MSRP with good lease numbers, like $2K down and $800 monthly.

i got a 2008 E350 for $650 a month, $1000 out the door. i can't imagine that the E550 is more than double? hit up Keyes European in Van Nuys, look for Sharif. if they know you are ready to buy the same day, they will deal.

Damn, that's bad. A year ago, a friend said she could get me an 07 CL550 for a little less than $2k a month. $1.6 is a hell of a lot for an E550.

Also, these are soooo rare. I see more E63's than 550's. I guess the tastes have changed, especially cause of the 350 engine instead of the 320 and because the 550 gets less gas mileage than a 500 and the price of gas has gone up more.

another thing to look at is try and buy something that is on the dealers lot. if it is there and it is sitting, they will deal.

that is how i got my deal. i found exactly what i wanted on the dealers lot and i sat down for 4 hours negotiating. they started out as $850 a month, $4000 out the door. I kept beating it down and down and down. i got away with 1000 out the door and $650 net a month. but that was in July when the sh#t had not hit the fan yet, well not all of it anyway

Lease prices depnd a bit on credit scores. Have you had a look to see if your score is OK and there are no errors on your credit report. Your dealers numbers sound way out of line.

You got E550 for $650 a month with small down? Not bad.

39 months, 10,000 miles a year, P1, navi, Sport, $22,000 residual. $650 a month net, $1000 out the door. this was the 2nd mercedes i got from them, so that might have been a factor. never late on any monthly payment. credit score is 720, nothing spectacular.

it was a 54,000 sticker but they were giving it at 47,000 as the starting point of the lease. i guess if the car is on the dealer's lot and they know you are going to walk out of there with a new car, they will find a way to get you the car. it took me over 4 hours to get the deal i wanted.

a week later MBZFinancial called me asking for a co-signer because they couldn't understand how i got such a good rate, i told them that the papers were already signed and i had taken delivery of the vehicle. sorry for them

Just noticed another thread. It looks like $1.6K is fair price for lease well loaded S550.

$54k is a very low MSRP, since your car has very few options. A loaded E550 will be about $20k more in MSRP, so the lease rates will be much higher.

I understand my msrp is low, still, that's a lot of money for a non-AMG E class

Got an 08 e350 4matic with nav, HK logic 7 radio w sirius, bluetooth, leather, ipod, xenons, sunshade and all weather mats for 499 a month w 2500 out of pocket. 12,000 miles/yr at 27 months.. I get to keep the BT puck and mats because I paid for it otherwise it would only have been 2000 out the door. Also has the sport package option I forgot to put in.

A good deal. Does your dealer have another similar one?
