Hi there,
This is my first posting on this excellent site
We took delivery of our New E in August (the first one in our city).
I must recommend to anyone thinking to buy one to take a look at Everest Green. It is a beautiful color.
This is our second Benz. We still have our 87 300D Turbo which we purchased new. We would not even consider getting rid of that car. That car feels more solid than the new E I must say. And it just got broken in at 190,000 KM. I dont know, maybe I am old fashioned but the New E has more toys than to my liking...But still, the nicest car on the road in my opinion.

I saw an Everest Green CLK AMG today on the dealers floor...$122,000.
Also had a "touch of class" package added at $3900. I did not have too much time to look so didn't really get much info. I have to go back to pick up my car tomorrow and will look again.
It is a beautiful color.

A 209CLK55 for $122,000???!!!
Unbelievable.
That car is only a marginal upgrade from the 208 model.
Trivial increase in horsepower.
Resale unlikely to hold up as well as 208's since others in that market niche now offer more for less $$.
I'm sure someone will buy it, though.
There's always one in the crowd.
