I got this car 2 months ago. The very first day it said "Add a quart of oil with next gas fill up" ... took it to the MB dealer and he filled it up for me. Also performed the B+ service. Its been 1300 miles since the service & I checked the oil last night, looks like it went down 1/4th of the max. Problem is I didnt check after service if the oil was at max ... so maybe it has always been 3/4th the level.... though I doubt it! Its just burning oil
Also, the oil had turned kinda dark brownish ... It was golden-ish 1300 miles ago ........ does that mean the car has been misused ? ............. what do I need to do to cleanse the engine / & how can I know if oil's being burnt ................... I checked the exhaust tips & they were kinda blue-blackish but very dry so no signs there
I want this engine to last 300k! Pls give suggestions, thanks

The oil will always change color from that "Honey Gold" color to dark color. Thats the oil doing its job carrying away contaminants from combustion while it cools and lubricates the engine. Don't worry about the color change.
If your car is burning oil, it will blow blue smoke under hard acceleration. It may not have been topped off to the tip top, so just keep an eye on it to be safe. More than likely, you're fine.

Several 350s have had oil consumption issues most go away at 5/6K
If It continues to use oil take it in to a dealer for a oil consumption test
Make SURE that if ANY oil is added have the dealer write a RO so you have proof...

“May” apply depending on your VIN:
