Latest mod: Lower than my 401K!

With Jeff's (Fr33kn63) help, a RENNtech ELM was installed in my E500. This is on top of the SDS lowering that I already have. I took some crappy point and shoot pics last night in a parking light filled with orange lighting, so forgive the exposure. I forgot to set it at it's lowest level, but you get an idea. We installed it in my lower armrest console with an extended wiring harness.

Thanks Jeff! Couldn't have done it without you!

Nice. I have the same ELM with the center console install. I use setting 2 front and back and just turn it off and lift when we go snowboarding and put chains.

I am noticing that sometimes when I leave it for a while I need to turn it off and re-lift and drop everything to reset it. Have had mine for a year now and I am stoked on the mod.

Yeah, I had it set on 2/2/5 or something like that. Security at that office park was hassling me so I didn't have a chance to slam her.

I'll take some more.

Thanks, gents.

Here's a daytime pic before I headed out the MIR event this morning. Settings are 1/1/4 in this pic. Seems like a good driving height right now. I thought I'd get a lower drop considering I already have it lowered via SDS. I'm wondering if the ELM completely overrides the SDS lowering.

Either way, love the ELM.

I gotta say that you have built a nice looking ride!

Lets hope she rewards you with some 13's at MIR.

Have you checked how bad your alignment is?

Thanks!

I dunno about 13's, we'll see. The only time I ran her was last year in 90*+ heat and ran 14.1-14.2, somewhere in there. Since then, I've gotten the EvoTech ECU, but gains are very little. Maybe 15 to the wheels. I'd be happy with any sub 14 run.

Yep, camber was way out. Took it to the dealer today to get aligned at that height and they said they got it within specs. I have my doubts. Good news is, I'm putting my winter wheels/tires on next month and I'll raise her up a little bit since they're only 18's.

BS, have them show you the printout, rear camber cannot be adjusted without a kit (I dont know if youhave one installed already), and at that height, it seems to me impossible to do. I spent the better part of 2 days with the guys that did my kit and became a believer of the camber kits. They tried like crazy to get it to spec without the kit, and were not able to get even close. With the kit, it is amazing the amount of flexibility there is now. I can scan/post my printout on Monday so you can compare if you want to.

I didn't ask for the printout, I wonder if they keep them on file. I knew that the rears had very limited flexibility as far as camber goes. And after driving lowered cars for the better part of 20 years, I've just accepted the fact that you're gonna be out of alignment and chew through tires.
