New Fuel Pump "whistling", is it normal?

I recently replaced my own fuel pump and fuel filter on my 2003 E320 (so I replaced the units on each side of the fuel tank under the seat). Since then, after the car reaches operating temperature, I can hear a faint "whining" or "whistling" sound coming from the right side (pump side) of the tank.

I never noticed it before I replaced the parts because I always had the stereo on loud enough to mask any noises....

Is this normal, or did I install the pump incorrectly? All parts came from the dealer.

I appreciate any help or input you all have. Many thanks!
