Hi,

Looking for e350 4matic upgrades, not sure what is common (what brands) in upgrading these components on a 2006 model. Any pointers helpful.

Hey man. Currently isn't looking good for any type of worthwhile intake mods. As far as exhaust, people do different stuff, depends on what your willing to deal with sound wise and what look your going for. As far as brand exhausts, you can with go OEM AMG, Magnaflow,Remus, Brabus and maybe if you want to shell out, Eisenmann could make you something. I tend to think quad tips most similar to the AMG ovals look best even though I actually have a Brabus quad exhaust on E350 4matic. BTW for some idea of sound of exhaust before you buy check out youtube people love to post clips of their exhaust notes on there. Good luck and welcome.

Ya, like AMG said, nothing really for airbox/air-intake. I've read numerous times from posters that the airbox and air-intake system on these cars are pretty much the best you can get and I think even if you upgraded to AMG ones, if you can, will not make really any difference and would not be worth it. Besides, you have the newest airbox system with the carbon kevlar intakes, unlike the 320s and 500s. Don't touch the air system.

With exhaust, eisenmann or remus seemed the best choices to me or if you like you can go with AMG, but I don't think it's worth it sound wise for the money you'd have to drop. I just read remus is offering 5% off on exhausts, go check them out. Eisenmann was my favorite overall. Or, you can just take out your resonator and put in a x-pipe. I'm gonna do this, just waiting on the guy who wants my resonator.

Besides that, go for a chip maybe. Power chip group seems really good and I've heard some good reviews about them. Check them out. I think for your car they have 10 hp and 10 torque gains (bringing it up to 278 hp and 268 torque).
