1. Next to the SOS (teleaid) button there is a button with arrow pointing to the rear of the car image on the button .. no idea what this does !!!

2. On the hood between the two windshield washer fluid nozzles is a black nipple ... what's this for?

1- To disable the alarm if the vehicle needs to be towed. There is a tow sensor for the ATA that will go off if the vehicle is raised, unless you press this button when getting out and locking the car.

2- Solar/sun sensor for the climate control.

Thanx! I really like the quick responses here!

Is the Sun sensor supposed to have a small white plastic tape like material stuck to it?

Not that I have ever noticed. I have only noticed them appearing black, but have never examined them in detail.

PBear, how does the solar sensor actually work in relation to climate control?

"The C-AAC sun sensor (4 in total) records the intensity and angle of incidence of the solar radiation on the vehicle. This enables the in-car temperature and blower speed to be automatically adapted depending on the level of radiation intensity (brightness).

Moreover, where radiation is of a one-side nature, then a suitable temperature difference is automatically set between the right and left regulated specified temperatures. The measured value is forwarded to the comfort AAC control and operating module."
