Does anyone know if the amg cl wheels come in 18"? I heard a rumor that they are being produced and that they will fit the e500

I've posted this elsewhere but as far as I know the new AMG wheels for the W211 line also fit the CL and/or SL. These don't work for the W210. I just got a set (18-inch)for my car this weekend, they are the five spoke design. You can see them under Build My Own at mbusa.com though those show the tire size as being 225/45 R18 when in fact they take 245/40's.

different wheel

I think the wheels shown on the mbusa site are different from the CL wheels. The CL wheels are shown on tirerack as "5-spoke 215" and I think they show them as 19" only.

The W211 wheels are also shown and they're thye same ones shown on mbusa.

I too would buy some 18" 215 AMG wheels if available.

I looked at the tirerack site and, using two windows, looked at the CL with the 19-inch AMG next to the 18-inch AMG version they show for the E-class. To my eye, they look identical except for the size difference. But I'd guess the fitment must be different or they would show both sizes available for both cars.

I saw the

amg 18" wheel that tire rack has listed for the new e class on a new Sl and they looked hideous! They have barely no lip for a wide wheel and the spokes stick out farther than the minimal dish they have. The CL wheel on the other hand is indented and the dish is more noticeable, also the offset of the cl gives it more of a flare on the w211 body. These are just some of my impressions and for the same price i would rather have more dish and more flare for my money.

Also,

I can imagine the amg ML wheel looking good on the w211 body and from what i hear of the w211 being the same offset as the cl/sl/s class is that it will fit. Check out the link below and let me know what you think....
(scroll down to ml amg wheel which is standard equipment on the 2003 s500 sport and cl500 sport)

There is a thread on the 3rd page of this forum "finally W211 w/19-inch AMGs" with some pictures of what you might or might not want. I have those exact same wheels (at least they look the same) but in an 18-inch version. I think the ML wheels will not fit but could be wrong. Also, once you move up from 18 to 19s, the tires start getting a bit outrageous on the order of $300 to $400 each.
