Confused on maintenance schedule ('08 E350)

I'm assuming my 2008 E350 has the service "A" and "B" correct? With that said, in the booklet it says perform first service at approximately 13K miles or one year. So which is it (it doesn't stipulate "which ever comes sooner")? I will hit 13K miles at about less than 1.5 years.

My car is a 27 month lease and will only see about 20K miles total.

TIA for the help!

Whichever comes first.

Thanks for the quick response! My 1 year is in April so I will schedule then.

Sure would be nice if they were a bit more explicit in their manuals

Yes in this case brevity is not necessarily a good thing. But it is one year or 13k whichever comes first.

You will get a message on your dash approximately 20 days prior to your car needing a service. I only drive about 4K miles a year and bought it on Dec 24, 2007. It prompted me to go in for service in 20 days on Dec 4th, 2008. Exactly 12 months later. Guess it knows.

I got my message yesterday. I have 9,200 miles, and I took delivery of the car on 1/23/08.

Whichever comes first but you don't have to worry about it. You will get a message 1,000 miles before you hit 13,000 (so at 12,000) or 20 days before your cars turns 1 (or when the service computer was last reset) on the dash.
