Does this service bulletin apply to all 03 & 04 E500 or just that ones that have experienced this problem? My 04 E500 does not have this problem. Should I be concerned that this problem will eventually show itself --it's just a matter of time & mileage?

I can email you the TSB if you'll send me your address and you can verify whether you have the radiator part that has high failure rate or not. As Konigstiger has posted, even if your vehicle isn't offiically one listed in the TSB, sometime during production of the 04 year models, they still may have used up their inventory of the old P/N radiator. So, to play it safe, you should ask your MB Dealer to verify what P/N is installed in your vehicle. If it has the older radiator, you can ask your dealer if they will replace it with the new P/N by citing the TSB and they might get MBUSA to pay for it.........some others have posted success with that approach. Why take the risk of having this part fail sometime and ruin your transmission torque converter and possibly the transmission?
