2007 E550 transmission

I had have a 03 e500 which had the transmission problem with the glycol contamination and MB had to rebuild the tranny and change out the torque converter. This was when I had only 20K km's on the car. My friend is looking into getting a 07 e550 with the 4matic which has the same 5 speed tranny I believe and I was wondering if this problem has been fixed or are they still using the same radiator and tranny with the same problem?
Also 3 of my 4 airmatic struts went belly up on me and have they also made changes on the 07's or are they the same struts? Anyone else having their struts go on them at only 75k Km's or 45k miles?

In the 4matic model it is with the 5 speed tranny here in Canada not sure what you have it in the States though.

Same in the states for all 4matic E class. Good question...are the struts the same as the older problematic airmatic struts in the pre '07 S and E class cars?

The problem wasn't the transmission, it was the radiator leaking into the transmission (valeo design). Mine was a 02/04 build E320 and it still had the glycol problem. Guess there were "extra" valeo radiators laying around and MB didn't want to dump them. Oh well... they payed for it later since the car was under warranty "Penny wise... dollar foolish."

Are these the original part nos. or the replacement part nos. for the AirMatic struts on the 2003 E500? If they have established replacement part nos. my assumption is that these new part nos. have corrected the design flaws?

Incidently, I have 66k miles on my 03 E500 and none of the air suspension struts have failed yet.

Original part #s, EPC does list as "replaced by".
