I didn't have to change pads until 55,000 mi and only because I was switching to Porterfield pads and rotors to go along with a switch to 18" wheels.
Btw, for those who like to constantly keep their wheels clear of brake dust the Porterfields have been excellent. I'd have paid double for them.

I just did all four pads and rotors at 71,100 miles. No warning sensors ever came on but I could hear grinding from the right front while braking. That was the only brake service I've had performed on the car (original owner). Other than the cost of the service, I think that's pretty damn good.

depends a huge amount on 2 things..
driving style and city or highway
if you drive medium and you are incity mostly,, 20-30k
if you drive same on highway mostly 35-45k
if you drive aggressive take of 10k miles on each

A lot of the rear brake wear can come from rapid acceleration from a stop. The rear brakes are designed to engage to control rear wheel spin, as the engine cannot be powered down as quickly. E550/500-E55/63's tend to suffer more from this at the customer's expense. It's not unusual for an E55 owner to go through the rear pads in 20k or less miles. Front pads usually go from 28 to 45k miles, depending on the driver.
Most (not all) cars that have with warped rotors will end up with warped rotors again sooner or later (da driber iz da probleem).
Obviously your mileage will vary, as will per your driving style.
