SF Bay area, affordable place to service my car?
Hi all, I owned 2004 E500. The car has run out of warranty. Now my car has problem with suspension (it creates squeaky noise). The parts itself cost $160x2, but to include labor, I am looking for $985.00. I don't know if this is good price or not, but I have to ok this since I need the car ASAP.
There are other things that needs serviced:
- brakes replacement
- spark plug
And dealer quoted me almost $2K. So I refused this service.
Anyone knows any reliable & affordable place to service out-of-warranty mercedes in SF Bayarea? It doesn't have to be MB dealer. Thanks..

E350 - Key to the Cure
Check on yelp.com. There is a guy in the city who people rave about. Does incredibly good work. Not sure how he is on prices (albeit less expensive than the dealer) but the quality of the work shows.

Try California Star in Lafayette if you're anywhere near. Bill is the owner and I've known him for about 20 years. He has become a good friend over the years and has serviced 5 cars in my family. Currently he services my sister's C320 sport. I've always known him to be honest and competent and fair. Let me know if you want more info. Can't say enough good about him.
