It does, doesn't it? Perhaps it's because it's true most of the time and it seems like it happens on every other forum here.
Hmm, have I finally found somebody younger than me on this site?
Don't come across many paramedics on this site. My high school partners with an EMS company here and as a result there is an EMT class here at the school. They still follow the National Registry and the MDOT standards and curriculum. I plan on taking the NREMT-B test as soon as I turn 18 and probably work as an EMT throughout college.

Guess the company is following the "if it ain't broke, why replace it?" think process..
The CJ3 is very nice, though, with the ProLine 21!

RE: Jobs
I'm an ex IBM exec, had enough and quit 3 years ago, and now co-own an auto floor plan company financing used car dealers inventory. Business has been very resilient, as many folks are currently buying used vs. new cars.

Europeans usually don't talk openly about their income. I can say I've been doing better from my main job but my business does not really add on top, even if it takes pretty much of my time. The main idea is that I don't have time to spend money on anything more or less useless.

There's less emphasis on non-quantitative values such as personality, philosophies, desires, intellect, etc.. And many fail to see their own value as just being "human" (for the lack of a better word.) Instead their value barometer is measured in wealth, lifestyle and consumption units.
Which is probably why even wealthy capitalists without ethics tend to be tolerated or excused. Maybe this will all change in the future, as we slowly begin to accept that self-worth based on income and profession is relatively meaningless. I hope so.

Yeah, Americans like to point out how much they make. How much you make and what you do tends to be the emphasis of the indicators of self-worth, value and identity.

As for the rest of people who said Americans want to always tell everyone what they make, what can I say? I am an open book. The OP asked. It is the honest truth. If you actually knew me rather than judged me from your keyboards you would know I dont really care what others think (or else I wouldnt be driving a c coupe because I get grief from the Mercedes fanboys all the time). I am proud to be an aircraft inspector. I earned it, have been working over 20 years at it. And yet, I still dont make what a Mercedes Technician does I am sure...

Wasn't directed at you at all. S'okay. Just a general response to a common societal thing.
Keep those airplanes in the air!
Congrats on enjoying your work. That means more than any monetary compensation, in my book.
