Re: Price of Command with DVD NAV

The deal is $1625 and that depends on whether the cars are being manufactured with nav yet. According to several posts they may be and the price would be $2125.

The MB dealers in Vancouver are clueless about Command. No price or when it will be available.

Thumbs down Over

I understand it's over. And it's not just the extra 500 you have to worry about. If you ordered prior to January 1, MB would have paid the cost to have your car retrofitted. No longer.

On the car I ordered, the dealer's telling me that when it comes in, he'll have to charge me a $500 installation fee. So 2625!!! (Only 2125 if you let the factory install it. But then you have to wait for your car.)

Can you say portable GPS.

Re: Over

Cappy,

That is only true if nav was available to be ordered at the time of your order ) 1/1/03 I think.

Cappy... I am in the same position as you and others. Although most everything is possible in retrofitting how "confident"was your dealer or better yet the techs at your dealship in saying that they could install the Nav. after delivery assuming of course that there was no prewiring harness in place ? I think this would be an obvious question for all of us to ask our repspective techs.
