Nice Coupe...better than the CLK for sure.
I like the new 2010 E Coupe too, sleek and sporty. Nice ride!

Not in the least.
I like it more than the Sedan so far. Also I think it looks better than the current CLK (always hated this gen CLK), but I still don't find it to be an overall nice car or the direction I would have wished M-B to take stylistically.
Some gripes I have with it: Rear end still looks horrible, the rear wheel arches look awful, the rear C Pillar posts are too thin, the hood-to-fender separation being on the side of the car (why is M-B copying BMW with that? Looks so sloppy from the side view), and what's with that tiny weird window separator thingy (on the back-side windows).
I have to say the rear-view mirrors look way WAAY better than the Sedans, I hate the mirrors on that, these actually look really good IMO.

Agree, and after they did the facelift with the new taillights in the back in 06, the back end seemed more "bulged" and oversized IMO. And yes, this one has an exhaust on both sides, I can't stand the single sided exhaust look.

my prediction is that despite the newness, there will be more plastic in the interior than there should be in a $65k MSRP car - something that could have been addressed by shifting $1k from from TV ads/marketing budget. however, my impression is that MB would rather waste the $ on prestige image building than build a superior quality car.

In europe the E550 is still called the E500 even though it has the 5.5L V8.
I've heard somewhere that the next gen of AMG engines are going to be the 5.0L V8 in the 500's except with twin turbos. They will have two versions: one to replace the 63 and one to replace the 65 (kind of like a 911TT and 911GT2). They will discontinue making a V12 twin turbo and the 6.2 (or 6.3, I can't figure it out) engines to meet fuel standards.
