Need help and advise to buy this ’07 E550

Hi All,

I’m in the market for a ’07 E350 but saw an ad from MB dealership for ’07 E550 CPO at 36K miles with P2, SP, Wood/Leather Steering Wheel and Panorama Sunroof . Asking price is $36K.

Now here is abnormal part:
The car delivery date is 8/14/06 on EPC database but on the CarFax Report:
Date: Mileage: Source: Comments:
03/09/2007 165 California Motor Vehicle Dept. Title issued or updated First owner reported Registered as personal vehicle Loan or lien reported.

That mean the car been sitting at dealership around 6 months and 160 miles as test drive.

What do you think? Should I go for it and how much should I offer?

TIA

Tony

So thats 6 months some butthead didn't abuse the car. Probably truely a Demo, not the tired abused loaners that some dealers pass off as Demos.

Not a big deal. 160 miles is nothing .. at least it got started once in a while.

The E500/550's sit on dealers lot's much longer than the base models. Mine was on the dealer lot for 8 months ...

So after spend about 3 months searching for an E350 with P2 and end up getting an E550 instead. Picked it up on last Sunday and spend most of Monday to read the manuals. Only drive it for 50 miles due to heavy raining here in Nor Cal, very happy so far (still in honeymoon periods!!!!!)

This is the deal I got: 32K +tax and tag (35K OTD)
All new tires, brake pads and engine oil, brake fluid changed as part of CPO plus warranty until 3/2012.

Will post pictures once the weather cooperated, right now I’m tried to study the service sequences and requirements.

That is an insane deal. Wow. Congrats. I love my car and it was exactly what I wanted, but if I were to do it again, and at the current car prices, I would have Searched for a CPO '07 E550 with an AMG Package and a color I like, and under 40K Miles (which is probably almost impossible to find, my '06 w/ AMG Package was way hard enough).
