2005 E320 W211
Question: are the wing mirrors on an '05 E320 different between Euro and US W211's?

A few days ago I parked my car on the street in front of a friend's house, and like a moron I didn't use the parking indicator lights that the car comes with, so I came out and my driver's side wing mirror (left) was smashed. Some drunk idiot probably swiped it off. Anyway, so I need a new mirror. I live in the US by the way, California to be exact.

The part number for the mirror is 211 810 05 21. It's like $400. I found a seller on eBay in Europe who's selling a W211 mirror for $90 (used). The part number is 211 810 03 21. Will this fit? Will the auto-dim feature work? If it does fit, is it easy to install?

Thank you.

From what I understand there are differences. For one the actual glass is different and secondly the euro mirrors can be folded in ellectrically. Not certain if they are interchangable without modifications. Why not just spend the bucks and get the correct mirror. Then will will not have the shipping costs which could narrow the margin

Not all W211 models in ROW, including Europe, have the folding mirror option.

Thank you.

Several options on the Mirror Glass L/R sides
Heated
Heated with auto dim
Heated/Auto Dim/and Convex ..Outer third is convex on the Euro Models

Make sure it has all the options like yours...look at the back of the mirror glass for connections

A US car Should have a Heated/Auto Dimming Glass

The Euro Convex glass will also work I have them on my MBs

You can install it easy under 5 min

To add power FOLDING mirrors you will need two complete mirror assy and a mirror switch
