Puck with the Tail - No Discovery Mode

Puck with the Tail - No Discovery Mode
2003 E-500. I bought the puck with the tail for the bluetooth adapter. Plugged right in. Get a slow flashing blue light.
Anyone know why my new Puck with the tail will not go into discovery mode? I get the slow flashing blue light, then when I press the button for a few seconds, nothing, it still remains flashing slowly and will not enter discovery mode. I still have the Parrot system installed in the car - you dont think that could be interferring?
