04 E500 front brake question...........
I tried to change my front rotors yesterday and couldn't get the rotor off of the hub/spindle.
I followed all of the steps to shut off the SBC and then took the Torx screw out and then sprayed the hub/rotor down with penetrating oil and let it sit for a couple of minutes before taking the hammer to it. That rotor basically laughed at me and said that I'm going to have to do better than that.
Would using a handheld propane torch on the rotor heat it enough to expand the rotor around the hub and not making it such a tight fit? Do you think that this would be enough heat? I'd be careful not to heat the hub and possibly boiling the grease in the bearings).

stuck rotor
i have not done mine yet but if there is a bolt holding the rotor to the hub is taken off as you state,, then a 3 pound hammer smashes on to the rotor it should pop off,, you can heat it to assist but you may do more damage then good,, you will ruin the rotor with the hammer so just keep beating it till it comes loose
