You will gain 7-10%, regardless of platform. Dyno proven of 7% gain, but more is possible.
Stock is 302*.07=21.14 at the crank using the low number of 7% gain
21.14*.82=17.33 (Using the universal agreement of 18% drive train loss on our cars)
So, figure 15-20hp, at the wheels, on stock E500. Plus, my car is not stock so the gains are exponentially higher.

again your not making more then 10hp with those headers even with all you mods.
Evosport headers are better hence why they are more money.
Your are the same stock design as the regualr manifold just alittle bigger.
look at the design between the two def a big difference
sorry but there is no comparison

We'll see when the car gets dyno'd.
Anything else is just speculation.
And BTW, nowhere did I say that the VRPs were better than anything else. I stated that VRP is claiming (with proven dyno results) similar gains to the EVO shorty's at a much lower price point. The EVOs are a great product, I'm not disputing that. My guess, is that I'm going to see the same 15-20 that you're seeing with your EVOs.
I'm glad you're happy with your EVOs. They're also a great product. Enjoy them.

Not sure on the dyno day yet. It's hard with a job, wife, toddler and infant. But I'll get it worked out.
My last pass was 13.49@102.5. Currently, the quickest in the country for an E500. There's probably a few that have blowers on them somewhere, but I can't find them anywhere. People just don't do a whole lot of performance mods on these things. And for a good reason. It just doesn't make a lot of fiscal sense. You can get an E55 for the amount I have in my car.

Found this in the E55 forum.
I have no affiliation with this seller, but someone should go grab these EVO shorties!

NOT TRUE
VADIM and others have dyno'ed headers change out in NA benz
and they get around 18-22 hp from NA cars for SHORTIES
and they get up to 35 for KLEEMAN long tubes with cats..
BRABUB< KLEEMANN, VRP, EVO, and others will all tell you that, and have dyno's to prove it..
anyone knows the merc headers stock are small, and basic and conservative.. and its easy to get 20 hp oout of a change of headers.
BENZORAMA is right,, he is getting more HP for sure..
tons of evidence of this with OEM TUNERS..
and I have seen this many times when I tested cars on the tracks and road for GM and PORSCHE< when they did exhaust changes before final production on prototypes

Yes sir. Supposedly plug and play, just like my VRPs. $900.00 is a good price too. Remember, the W211 E55 and W211 E500 both use the same M113 block. My VRPs are actually made for the E55 and they bolted right up without any modification.
Someone should really jump on those EVOs. Hell, the LETs he's selling are good too!

RE: Headers
I'd say you've built a very nice German Hot Rod. Looks and sounds great. I predict low 13's next time at the drags......but.......what about the current prices of those used E55s? Tempting...for me anyway.
Very nice outcome.

you are comparing shorties to long tubes which are similar expect the longtube are longer.
The VRPs are not even the same design its comparing apples to oranges almost.....there pretty much larger stock manifolds. Yes he will get more HP but he is no where getting 15-20rwhp out of those headers.
hurry with the dyno if you pull 15-20rwhp im selling my EVOS buying the VRP ones and with the money i have left throw a MBworld BBQ somewhere in Brooklyn lol

Benz-O was this a group buy? How did these end up getting produced? How many people needed to order them for production to start? I really want a v6 set.

Congrats Clayton! Looks like you're near finish with your mod list! Let's see how long before you slap on a 500-K3 under the hood!

NOPE
nowhere did I compare the 2 I know the difference,
what I said is,, you said that benz's shorties would not give more than
10 HP, and I said that is wrong and they are dyno tested more like 18-22 horespower
then I said, and the LONG TUBE from KLEEMANN, produce even more power
from 25-35,
that is what I said, just to clarify,, it
have a nice day
