I am reading through my datacard (Thanks to Konigstiger for his troubles) and I wanted to ask a few questions about some of the things listed on this. I am a MB newbie so please bear patience.

Here is a list of a few things that I don't fully understand:

-528 comand dvd plus (without navigation) - I can't play dvds in my car nor does it have a nav dvd drive (obviously). So what's 'dvd plus' supposed to mean?

-910 Dynamo with Higher Capacity (FFO)

-044 New Telematics Generation NTG 2.5 (I have no clue what this is)

-954 Equipment package for avantgarde vehicles (what does this package include?)

If anyone has the time to explain these items to me, I would be most greaful.

What year is your car? I assume a 2004.

DVD COMAND means the COMAND will read DVD media in the head unit. This is really only good for MP3 DVD discs, so you can effectively hold 8.4GB of MP3 files on one DVD-DL disc. The optics are capable of reading DVD media, but the video decoder is not present or disabled to prevent the playback of DVD movies. You would need to obtain a Euro COMAND to play movies.

Avantgarde is a trim level that is not referenced in the US but is in RoW (Rest of World). It includes certain options as standard equipment, different instrument cluster with chrome rings, etc.

910 is a high amperage alternator (probably standard on Avantgarde vehicles and higher)

Telematics is the Tele-Aid system, phone system, etc.

Thanks polar_bear! Regarding the telematics, what is the ntg 2.5 in reference to? Also, will you be willing to go lower on your euro command?! =P

I think that is New Telematics Generation IIRC. The version changes with each upgrade. The W210 has 2.0, I think.
