Appearance Package CDI - your thoughts?
Hello all, yes I'm a newbie but have read the forum for a few weeks with interest and have enjoyed feedback i've seen posted within. I've searched high and low - - I'm getting close to finding the end of the internet with limited results and now ask for your help...
I just picked up an '05 E320 CDI and feel the need to make it look and handle a bit more sporty. To clarify, I'm not a fan of the bone stock 16" rims and grandpa-ish appearance of the stock E class. The thoughts I've had:
1.) 18-19" staggered wheels / tires & a H&R Lowering Kit.
2.) ECU upgrade from Renntech.
3.) Lip spoiler, total debadge and possibly update the bumpers and skirts to reflect the AMG appearance package - or maybe a fiberglass aero kit?
4.) Possibly a beefier sway bar to help w/ cornering. I read about someone doing this to their CDI.
5.) Either a new grill w/ flat hood emblem OR painting my existing one silver to match the car.
I also need reliability, fuel economy and longevity out of the vehicle - hence the reason for the CDI. I'm on the fence on the idea of steering clear of fiberglass aero kits due to longevity and my normal high speed driving. They look good on the car but one little curb and you're done.
In summary, I'm searching for the most economical way to make my car handle and look more aggressive. CDI is perfect for my family however I really like the aggressive stance of the E500 / E550 w/ sport appearance package. I want the car looking clean.

Check out the Brabus D6 for the CDI they use it all over Europe their are usually a few available on ebay.de
