navigation question

The "direction of travel" arrow on my navigation screen is always pointing toward the north even though I am driving south bound. Is this normal? Or is there an easy way to make the arrow on the screen point in the same direction that the car is moving.

Map orientation can be fixed North (North is always pointing up) or Compass (driving direction is always pointing up) check your COMAND manual under route guidance or if you do not have a manual download here http://home.earthlink.net/~phdwebsite/comand_manual.htm

It can be changed to point up no matter the direction of travel. I believe this is changed through the DISPLAY soft key. It's in the manual if you have it.
