2003 Sl-500
Had my E-500 in for more alignment today. Factory rep is there to try to come up with a solution.
Dealer had a 2003 SL-500 Sport on the floor. The owner ordered it and put about 3000 miles on it and then put it on the floor. It is Tectite gray and is really beautiful. Sitting next to a
2002 SL 500 and it is like night and day...whole new body style.
Sticker is $102,500. The hardtop has a pano roof in it

2003 SL Launch Edition, 2003 E500 Pewter/Stone
Ed, our other MB is the '03 SL500 and it is sweet. IMHO, it is the most beautiful car around, perhaps ever. But, the choice is not easy between the new E and the SL. I originally got the SL for my wife, who had always wanted one. When we saw the design, it was all over. We were lucky to get a Launch Edition on March 7th with no pre-order and no premium. We have loved it ever since.
7 or 8 months after we had gotten the SL and the delivery of the E500 was coming up, my wife said we needed to decide which car would be mine and which hers. I suggested that we share both. She said, "no way, I keep my phone and etc. etc. in the car and I don't want to be moving stuff around all the time". So I (magnanimously) said, "I got you the SL so that is yours, the E500 will be mine". She was pleased.
Then, we took delivery of our Pewter/Stone E500 and I (magnanimously) allowed my wife to take the "maiden" drive. Before 15 minutes had passed, she said "Oh, "sweetheart", you remember how we agreed that the best thing to do was to share the two cars, don't you?"
What more need I say? They are two fine cars. We get more pleasure each time we drive either one.
P.S. We share the cars!!!
