Steering question E500

i have looked through the forum and have seen many complaints on sterring for these cars.. my question is when taking a sharp corner at 15-20 MPH the wheel is hard to turn,,at 5 MPH its easy to turn, i was hoping this was a programable setting if this is a variable assist power steering setup...or is there any tricks to make this "easier" to turn at the speed

steering assist and speed should be inversely related .. this isn't a cadillac ..

I just bought a 05 E500 and noticed the same thing as original poster. So, is this normal?

I don't remember my old 03 E55 having this steering behavior.

Speed sensing steering is standard on the e-classes versus being an option on the 5-series. And BMW makes a big deal about offering speed-sensing steering as an option when the W211 has it standard. So do all the higher models MBs. C-class doesn't though.

Idk. You would have to check with an MB technician or someone of that sort.
