whining sound from AC ....
hi all ,
about 2 months ago I bought a 2003 E320 that has only 37000 km (23000 miles) on it.
since I bought the car I have like a whining sound coming out of the AC , I went to the dealer and they said its a known problem they had on the 03 models coming from the AC compressor`s pulley , at the time when the car was still under warrenty they replaced the compressors on MB`s account , on some models it was possible to replace only the pulley and was not necessary to replace the whole compressor , on my car its possible to replace only the pulley but it costs alot here in Israel $600 US.
my question is has there ever been a recall on that problem ? and do others have the same whining noise ?
