Do the 2009 model W211s have the new cruise control stalk that allows you to raise or lower the speed in 5 MPH increments like many other MBs currently do?

I'm not sure if I got it right but the Euro on-line manual seems to explain that the 1 and 10 km/h options exist if the car has Distronic but the standard Speedtronic would still only have the 1 km steps. I had a look at the wagon manual because we don't have the old sedan manuals on-line any more.

That was a good find. Actually the left hand drive countries don't have the W212 yet, the UK site too gives this but it looks like you picked up it from some other site, or did you have it on your bookmarks or was it from the South African site? They should keep the old ones available even when new models come.

The convenience of 1 or 10 km/h adjustment increments will in all likelyhood be presented in the W212 as the current C-class has it. A very usefull feature I may add.

Thanks for the links. From what I gather it seems that the W211 still has the "old" version of the cruise control stalk, and that if the car is equipped with Distronic that the larger increments will be used (which would make more sense I supposed). I wonder if the CLS will get the updated stalk with the two up and two down positions like the W204 and 164...
If the CLS gets it before a changeover, it could possibly be retrofitted into a current W211...
