"Rest Function" on an 08 E Class

According to the owners book and MB, the rest function isn't functional on
08"s in the US. The other day I must have hit a button or sequence of buttons and guess what, it went into the rest mode. This allows you to keep the heat or ac going for 15m while the car is off. Any input is appreciated. BTW, my car has been flawless for 13,000 miles not one issue.

Mine does it automatically while the car isn't locked after an hour....I had a thread about this about a month ago.

Would be nice if you could repeat it and list the sequence necessary.

I've tried and can't duplicate the process to activate the function.
