On my previous 210, I changed the oil only when the FSS recommended it, even if my indy mechanic wanted to change it more often. I've used Mobil 1 since 1986, when Mercedes dealers didn't want to put Mobil 1 in the 16V as it would "void the warranty, but I always insisted and even brought my own oil.

My 210 had 220,000 miles on the clock and didn't use or drip any oil. So I really do not subscribe to the idea of more and frequent oil changes with synthetic oil.
