I wanted Flint on Black. I look all over the place (I also wanted P2, full leather, pano, parktronic and trunk close, etc.) and couldn't find one in the entire USA!

I ended up with Sienna on Sahara. Hard to keep clean outside and the Sahara picks up blue jean dye, so I have to wipe the leather down every week

p.s., I got 7k off back in October. Curious as to what you can get off now. What was it?
I actually was looking for silver on black, they didn't have it. This is only one flint gray on black with P2. I think there is another black one. I'm done with black car. I like Silver, it's easier to maintain. Got over 10K off basically. Plus some extra goodies from the accessories shop, better than nothing. The car is in the shop for detailing today since service was closed Sunday. They are going to give flat hood emblem for free. I'm curious to see how it'll look. Well, it's free..

And they're all MBTex no doubt. That was the tough part for me. I wanted leather. I finally found one that the sales manager had built but never titled and just decided to put it on the floor. So, I went ahead and bought it. I got 7k off and that was all he was going to do (back in October; and now I can get an E63 for almost 15k off. Oh, well.)

The Sienna Black is really black-brown but still hard to keep clean. At least my Porsche is silver! Very easy to keep looking good.

I'd highly recommend getting DFWDude's white star flat emblem. They are hand made out of metal and enamel. There's a sticky in the forum on them. I think he has a few left. And then you can get an aftermarket (they look identical to the OEM and same quality) grille that doesn't have an emblem on it (that way you don't have that 'double star' thing going on.)

Thanks for info. Yup, MBTex. I like your interior color, but it needs a lot of upkeep.

Surprisingly, not as much as you'd imagine... Congrats on the new ride.

Yeah, in the end it's not bad at all. I've never own a dark colored car before. I had it pro detailed once and it now stays pretty clean and swirl free (in SoCal weather.)

My jeans do rub some blue dye off on the left side of the seat; I just need to not slide out so lazily, I guess.

I use Zaino's Z-9 Leather Soft Spray and it cleans up beautifully. I don't mind the upkeep on leather, that's all part of having leather (like jackets, etc..)

The sales manager built mine with the 'Saks Key to the Cure" color combo so it looks similar to the official one you have. I haven't seen any 2009s like it yet.

The official 2009 'Saks Key to the Cure' (1000 are built and sold, and MB gives $1 million to the Women's Cancer Research Fund) is a 2009 S550 in Diamond White Metallic on Sahara Beige. Haven't seen one of them yet either.....

Hi SlvrC230SS,

I just bought the same model (diff interior) up here in Northern CA a week before you (see Iphone pic below). According to the dealers I was speaking with, there were only 2 models like ours in the entire State of CA at the time, apparently yours and mine!

Just thought you would get a kick out of this story. Congrats to us both!

Funny b/c my buddy (goes by chokaay) on this forum also got a Flint Gray E350 from FJ Newport just last week. I think he got $12k off MSRP or something like that.

Congrats on the new Es. Great choices. My wife's is Flint Gray w/ Black leather. When we bought 2 1/2 years ago the dealer (with huge inventory) could not find one the way we wanted in the entire US so it was ordered. They changed a car in production for us to include every option but the wood wheel and panoramic sunroof. No AMG package then but I would love to have those new rims. Spent hours cleaning all the nooks and crannies on the 10 twin spoke rims with a bad shoulder the other day. Enjoy the new rides and the fantastic deals you got (paid sticker but a great trade-in). Post some new pics when you can. I have mine posted in the sticky on page 26.

Hi MissMyBenz,

Just saw your car. Very beautiful! The shoulder pain paid off I posted my pics on page 37. Btw send me a PM if you are interested in getting some AMG rims. I'm actually considering purchasing some new ones.

Yes I did, and MB Financial is going to make my first 2 car payments for me as well. (See this thread for the specs of my E350.)

Amazing how many forum members got gray E350's all within a couple weeks of each other!
