Hi guys,
Need some opinion here,
I called up to upgrade Renntech Stage 1 for my E500
and its the Carbon fiber Airbox and ECU upgrade.
The ECU upgrade in my car is 23HP and 26 Torque increase. And the airbox only 5HP and 6 Tq according to them. The total cost will be $2750 include shipping. Also they claim will be 2MPG better because of bigger AirBox allows more air so more efficient ..... is that true ?
My question is ..... can i install it by myself or I need someone to install for me ? Is it hard to DIY ? also will I have problem with Oxigen Sensor in the long run ? ECU upgrade can be in the car forever ? or need flash in every couple years ?

I believe if the dealer flashes the ECU, the ECU programming with be lost, so you would have to have it put back in. Usually, most companies, charge less for putting it back in once ECU was flashed. Some even give the second flash for free.
I don't know if the intake is really worth it. I've seen one, and it looks sick though

For a performance chip, you might want to call up Powerchip. I believe they are in Costa Mesa or something.
