19" staggered setup! need some advice...
Hi
Need some help for 19" staggered setup! I´m purchasing a w211 soon, so i kinda want to put som new wheels on it when i get. Cant wait!!! yayyy
The w208 is my old baby going to miss that in the summertimes
19” staggered setup for w211
The OEM setup for w211 is 205/60/16, the circumference (C) is 204,96 cm (80,31 inch) and the diameter (D) is 65,24 cm (25,59 inch).
Is this setup correct?
Front:
245/35/19, C = 205,49 cm (80,70 inch), D = 65,41cm (25,60 inch)
the differences between OEM and this are, C = 0,53 cm (0,26%) D = 0,17 cm
The offset should be: ET 29 , 30 , 34 , 35 and the width should be 19x8,5
Rear:
A: 275/30/19, C = 203,45 cm (79,92 inch), D = 64,76 cm (25,19 inch)
the differences between OEM and this are, C = -1,51 cm (-0,74%) D = -0,48 cm
or
B: 285/30/19, C = 205,33 cm (80,70 inch), D = 65,36 cm (25,20 inch)
the differences between OEM and this are, C = 0,37 cm (0,18%) D = 0,12 cm
The offset should be: ET 31, 35 and width should be 19x9,5
Here in Norway the differences shouldn´t be more than +/- 5 % from the OEM and the desired setup.
(245/35/19 vs 285/30/19 the differences are C = -0.16 cm (-0,08%) D = -0,05 cm)
(245/35/19 vs 275/30/19 the differences are C = -2,04 cm (-0,99%) D = -0,65 cm)
(275/30/19 vs 285/3019 the differences are C = 1,88cm (0,93 %) D = 0,60 cm)
In my opinion I would rather go for 245/35/19 vs 285/30/19, because of the differences if you go for 275/30/19 you actually got ”smaller” wheels at the rear? Correct me if Im wrong! What do you guys think? Does anyone have pictures with one of these set up?
I´m not thinking of lowering the car because of the roads here in Norway, but the European w211s are divided into three models: classic, elegance and avantgarde. The avantgarde models have the sport suspension and the one I´m getting is the avantgarde. I´m not just sure how much it is lowered. Does anyone know?
Thanks
Raymond
