2009 Mercedes-Benz E350 vs. 2009 Lexus GS350 article

And IMO, in general I think MB should reduce the number of models they have... not create new ones!

Yes, MB should reduce the number of models. It has gotten quite out of hand in the US market. Here's what it should be IMO:
C, C coupe, C soft-top conv, E, E coupe, E hard-top conv, S, S coupe, SL. I'm beginning to think the S coupe and SL should only be 600 and 65 (V12s). Will make them more exclusive, better resale, better competitor to Aston Martin and Bentley.
See, you can 8 models from 3 cars (C, E, S). This will allow the C and E class to be more competitive relative to the market while still not sacrificing quality.
EDIT: Learned from another member that works as technician in Las Vegas that underbelly of E coupe is exact to a W204 C class. So get rid of E coupe and convertible and make C a hardtop convertible.

I mean 5 freaking SUV's? WTF? This isn't supposed to be GM or Ford. The DAY M-B releases a Pickup-Truck I am vomiting then done with them.

So true... so true... I began to think that MB came to their senses and started consolidating when they discontinued the CLK... but then I learned that they were "replacing" it with the E-Coupe... *sigh*... some companies never learn. I've also heard unconfirmed "rumors" that the CLC was supposed to be brought over to the U.S. in 2010, but I guess that got put on hold for some reason...

All these manufacturers get so over-eager as they gain more success, forgetting what got them successful in the first place. It usually ends up biting them in the a$$ too. Right now Audi is the newest candidate, as since they've started catching up to M-B and BMW rapidly (many are predicting they're on their way to surpassing M-B in the success/Sales wars), they released a statement saying they plan to create new models, "more models for more people".

I guess M-B has nothing to worry about then, as I will predict that as the demise of Audi's successful run toward the top.

They all do lock the same. By remote.

IMO they are quite different looking. Not a fan of the A6. S8 is my favorite big sedan and my S4 has been the polar opposite of my W211 - 100% reliable.

, I'm gonna keep it there tooI must say though, I prefer audi interior to BMW. I was looking at an S4 at the same dealership I got my E, and the interior was quite impressive, way nicer than my friends 530i. Even my dad was like "ooooohhh... nice recaro seats."
Also, your E was an 03, so that can explain a lot, those are mostly nightmares. There are some good ones out there though.

Just having a little fun. The S4 Recaros are great. The A4 seats completely blow. You are spot on about the '03. It seems as if they progressively improved the quality of the car every year.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
From my observation is that the Acura/Lexus will out last the M-B by a decade for sure. My dad’s older TL (uses the M-B once in a while) which he still drives is at 600,000 and running strong.
My Acura runs like a top after my somewhat abuse of it. And my Acura hardly rattles/makes noises compared to the Lexus/M-B. I could easily drive it to California and back to Toronto without a doubt of it ever leaving me stranded at the side of the road.
I for sure love the Mercedes for the status and comfort. I never really liked my brothers IS300, not sure why. Always love my Acura.
M-B is shotting themselves in the foot by offering more models. I see the M Class all over the place. And no wonder becasue it starts at $54k. Heck, alot of other SUV are priced the same or above.
