Picked up E500

I picked up my new E500 on Friday. What a difference from my old E320. I drove the car about 200 miles over the last three days. Thoughts are as follows.

1. The car drives incredible. No problems with pulling to right or any pinging sounds at all. I am fooling around with the suspension settings to see which I like best.

2. The HK radio is great. Much better than the old Bose system. I can't deicde whether to use the Logic 7 or Driver optimized setting as I usually am alone in the car.

3. I was originally not going to get the sport package as I wasn't sure about the black birdseye maple, but it really grows on you. It looks awesome in the sunlight and it does contrast with the charcoal leather. It looks much better than it does in pictures

4. Got the dealer to throw in a wood wheel in addition to $3000 off MSRP. Went in on the 31st to finalize, which really helped.

5. Dealer put in writing that when navigation is available he will retrofit at dealer cost.

I will try to post some picks later this week.
