E500 digital-display climate control in 2004MY e320
Hi friends,
I been thinking about replacing my manual (no display climate control) with a 03-05 E500 digital display one. I know they are plug-n-play and perfectly fit the dash but here comes the questions. the threads mention someone achieving it but then prople turn to other topics and detials never discussed.
1) Is it really really plug-n-play? No Stardiagnostic version coding needed?
2) what feature will I lose? like REST.
3) What do I gain other than a digital display? (any features)
Please do not speculate! anyone who has actually DONE this or seen it in action only please. There is a buttload of these on eeeeeebaaay for circa $200 or so.

I have a feeling that this thing might need version coding. Did you get version coding done?
