Loud OEM tires!

Loud OEM tires!
My 2009 E350 w/AMG 18in wheels have Michelin HX MXM4 OEM tires. They are incredibly loud! Has anyone had experience with these tires? Should I swap them out with the Contiprocontacts or another tire? Thx

Low rolling resistance tires are loud. And you are posting in the 2010 E class forum, not the 2003 thru 2009 forum. My suggestion: burn those tires up aka smoke the rear wheels up and get some new PS2's or Bridgestones.

I had Conti's which were awful, just installed Michelein Pilot Sport PS2 and all I can say is that I love my car once again. I got very lucky and found a guy with a 2009 Audi that was upgrading from 18" to 19" so I bought his brand new oem tires from him for $700.00, gota love the net.

Yes they are a little loud. (The Car's Sales Brochure notes this, plus the fact that you can not rotate them.) ...but they are good, long lasting tires.

The first thing I did after 50 miles of ownership was dump the new OEM tires and pop on a set of PS2s. Much crisper turn-in with the stiffer sidewall. These cars need all the help they can get in the handling department.
