Anyone here considering the new W212 e-class when it comes out?
Personally, after seeing the car live at the Paris auto show, I thought it's a pretty good looking car.
The smallest engine is a 1.8L turbocharged engine with 200+hp and ****loads of torque. This means with a cheap chip-up or tune it can reach 230-250hp easily... along with great gas mileage as these cars were designed to provide.
E63 variant.. much and the same with the old one. I don't think many people will buy the new E63, simply because there's not as much potential like the 55 or 65 engines.

Which car do you have now? If you look at the W212 section is it obvious that the current W211 owners find the W211 the best looking car in the world while the W212 is ugly. At the W210 section they say the W211 is ugly, go figure.
Honestly the W211 looks good in my opinion but I'm not buying cars only with that argument but for my taste the 212 is not bad.
Ill be renting an E-Class in Holland later this month, hoping it just might be a W212 so I can try one out for a week, although it is probably a bit too early and will likely be W211; I know the rental will be a small displacement diesel with stick but it will have Navi.
I'm looking forward to both seeing and test driving W212 later this Summer, either in the states or across the pond.

. Stayed at Porte De Versailleleseseggses(sp?)? I know it's pronounced 'port de vasai' though, according to locals.I currently have a W211 and an STI... I personally think the W211 looks a tad dated, especially next to something like a 5 series or the new A6.
