Vibrations in idle
lately my car has started doing this ... when the car has reached running temp (90), I can feel vibrations like minute 'mis-fires' .... the rpm is at 600, it goes away after increasing rpm beyond 1600 ...... Here's the most annoying part: took it in to the stealer & he had his tech sit with me, says "take it anywhere on the planet & no one will say this is a problem - these cars are built like this - the computer senses misfire 300 times in a revolution bla bla"
I'll be trying out a different dealer but want to go in prepared this time - here are my thoughts - could be engine mountings, fuel pump calibration, or maybe just bad fuel ... anything else ?
There is no decrease in power or pickup thou
thanks

Try changing your plugs, I changed mine last week..all 12 of them!!!..and the difference was very noticeable.
I used to notice a very definite "nervous" idle, especially when the car idled below 800 RPM and in gear, usually not noticeable in neutral.

Mind if I share my experience? Some how I believe this is kind of normal? (Don't quote me). When my mom bought her C240 back in 2002 and brand new I test drove that car and I felt right the way the idle was rough. Now that I drive a used 2007 E550 and in park I can still feel the roughness, so for me it's seems normal. but if you bought your car new and you know it's not normal then you should address to a different dealer and see if they are more willing to assist you.
