E350 Appearance Advice
Hi All,
I'm new to the forums and a new owner of a 2009 E350 w/Sport package. My vehicle came with a sport suspension and 18/8.5's in the front, and 18/9.5's in the rear.
I love the look of my car, but wouldn't mind closing the gap betwen my tires and fender to give the appearance of a slightly lowered look (not too much).
Question: Would buying 19 inch weels (i.e. 19/8.5 fronts & 19/9.5 rears) help me achieve this appearance, or would I need to purchase a suspension kit and leave the 18's?
Thanks in advance for taking the time to read.

Going from 18s to 19s doesn't change the gap width because at the same time you'll have to switch to tires with a shorter sidewall in order to keep the rolling diameter the same. If you don't keep the rolling diameter the same, then it will throw off your speedometer and odometer.
If you want to close the gap, then buy some lowering springs. If you have an airmatic suspension, then you'd have to get a lowering module.

Hi deimos,
Thank you for the reply. I was afraid that would be the case after viewing various models on the internet with 19's.
Do you have any suggestions for either lowering kits or modules?

E350's in US don't have airmatic. You are stuck with springs. Only the V8's now come with airmatic. The E320's had it as an option under the appearance package (which I have). I know it is a pain when comes to repair but man, I love the airmatic feature.
