R & R EVAP TEMP SENSOR

Looking for repair directions to replace the EVAP Temp Sensor..... 2003 E320

Anyone out there experienced with this process?

223.168 & 213.012 & 906.633 & 214.005
You can access the evaporator temperature sensor if you remove the cover below the instrument panel from the left side.

If you have the new part, you should be able to identify the correct part.

2006 E350
Just replaced this part to try to solve freezing up on long high-speed trips and lack of proper response from individual temp controls:

Drop cover under driver's side of the car, - 3 T25 screws and one pry-off plastic holder.

Look up towards tranny tunnel, you will see the temp sensor inserted into the evaporator box. (use the replacement part to identify.) It is the smaller set of wires in this location.

Remove wire connector, use pliers or visegrips to pull out old part.

insert new part angled facing side up & connector, reinstall cover.

Took me maybe 10 minutes, including identifying the right tools.
