There lies a debate, and makes this ^^ a moot point. All 20's don't look ghetto, nor are they all "chromed" out.

Max's 20's are nice and classy. I have seen several that are and after talking with my SA today some, he advised me that 30 series and above aspect would give a better ride as well. 25's, yes I would feel more bangs in the road and run more of a risk of banging a lip.

Atlanta doesn't have huge potholes much, but again my question which I am getting several answers from different source was could my CLS take up to 35 series aspect tires in the rear.

Most of the 20's I see for sale are plain, not attractive designs, or too "niche" being all black, etc. I guess it also boils down to preference as well.

On the quallity, I pretty much am looking at Vossen's now. I am going with the 1 pc. I can't justify the cost increase for the 3 pc. Yeah I know the debate on it, but after talking with many wheel shops, etc. I think I am cool with the 1pc. Any more input on this, cool.

I was interested in the AMG 2 pc, but now I see several people posting that they have developed hairline cracks in them.

Now, on the last issue. Tire aspect size, now I want to run at least 30, on the rear not 25's on my CLS. 25's are just too damn low for me. From what I am hearing 30's would fit just fine on the CLS for the rear. I would imagine I could run 30 or 35 on the front. If you know more info on this, let me know. I am looking to pull the trigger in about 1-2 weeks from now.

Now that I see this debate on 20's being only bling, etc, some 20's, are rather nice looking and not "blingy". My R has 20's on her and handles great. Most of friends that have 20's say the car actually handles better with 20's. One I really talked with has a CLS55 with Asanti 20's on it, and he was fine with it. Except for those damn 25 aspect on the rear. LOL.
You should check this out if you're still wondering about Vossen's 1pc quality.

Slightly OT but this setup gives you 2 different diameters between your fronts are rears. Are the OEM wheels set up that way? Any issues so far?

The weight is pretty decent. Vossen/D2 (Thanks D2!) gave me the info regarding weight. I can't remember exactly, but they were under 35lbs for sure. I think it was about 28 and 29.

I believe some of this issue is also up to individual taste, don't ya think mates ? ...... 18s are as big as I'd want on my A class .....16s are the factory size ............

I put 20" Gianelle Wheels on my E500 in August and have not noticed too much of a handeling issue. I was expecting the ride to all of a sudden become ****ty, but it didnt happen. The main thing I notice is a reduction in feel for the road. It may sound odd considering the bigger wheel but I have less steering feel. When turning into a corner there is an initial lack of steering response but then it digs in and turns great. But then again, the w211 was obviously not designed with handeling in mind to begin with.... The Biggest thing I notice in the performance department is initial acceleration from a stop. There is a noticeable difference between the stock 17's I had and the 20's. From a rolling start the acceleration is virtually the same. I think it is much harder for the car to get the wheels to start rolling with a larger size

The reason I am selling my wheels is not because of performance issues or anything else. I just found a set of wheels that I like more than the ones I got. If anyone is interested in my Gianelle Santorini 20's PM me. Purchased in late August, put under 1,500miles on them. Pics are in my signature.
