Need help with A/C

Need help with A/C
So i was coming back from the casino this past saturday and my a/c just shut off automatically. When i tried pushing the A/C off button, it started flashing slowly. The fan just blows but i cant turn on the A/C itself. I can turn on the defroster and everything else but the a/c, just blows hot air. Does anyone know why it does this? do i have to take into to the dealership for service? Why does it flash, is there a way i can reset it?

no or low refrigerant
mine did the same and it was becuz the refrigerant was low. under warranty I went to stealership dye is not covered for leak check. It came out to something like 275.......but it is a meatlocker now
