" Brake" visit workshop Revisited
hey guys
ive read just about every page in the 211 forum and ill need a little help on this one.
i get the brake visit workshop message even though the brakes are new and car was totally checked out on a star system last week.
message comes on after a few miles, then when car sits for a few hours the message goes away. brakes feel normal.
any idea's where to look? my buddys bringing his star over this weekend but id like to try to fix it by then.

The wear sensors are pretty fragile. There are three(two front and one rear). They are small gage wire and can be kinked / broken during installation. I would start there. They are about $3 each. You will have to remove the wheel(s) to replace them

Yes, I had the the "Brake Visit Workshop" error message 3 months ago, around 65k mileage point, and had my MB Dealer check it out. Turned out to be the same problem as you, a cheap rear brake light switch that works off the brake peddle.
