Onward and upward - after 6000 km
Well, I now have about 6000 km (4000 miles for my American friends) on the clock of my new E320, and thought a quick update was called for. Especially as I think we have just about ironed out all the bugs, so I can now get on with enjoying the drive.
LIKES: the drive, the engine and especially its reliability, gearbox, comfort, automatic mechanisms, lights, look, sound system, the copious chrome, the star, the huge trunk, the brake-by-wire system, the wood in the ****pit, the super-luxurious interior, the seats, the ambient lighting, four-zone climate control, the many safety features, the auto-wipers, the heated seats, the extra status compared to the previous BMW, oh and did I mention the drive? This is a great car, worth the money.
DID NOT LIKE: Nothing serious now all the bugs are ironed out. If I were to redesign it, I would do the software interface much better; I'd solve all my software issues proactively, I'd increase the soggy throttle response, I'd redesign the wipers and the their software, and I'd do better QC - and I'd further improve MB Canada's organisation (Not the dealer: Meray Motors in Oakville were a great help and handled everything great!).
Overall: OK, so it was an early model and I had some bugs. Now that these are sorted out and the dealer has proved very responsive, I am very happy with my 2nd Mercedes-Benz and don't see why there shouldn't be a 3rd, 4th, etc. (Hey I had 10 BMW's before I switched to Benz!)

And BTW, of course I typed "co ck pit", not "****pit" in my post. Systems like this are quite funny... not suitable for pilots!
