Advice on on painting wheels from gun metal to silver
Hi
I puchased some wheels online and when I received them I noticed there was lots of gun metal on them.
I really don tlike the color and would prefer if they were all silver.
I took them to a local body shop and after painting the wheels silver the color would not stick to the gun metal.
It just keeps flaking off.
Does anyone have advice on how to paint the wheels silver so that it sticks??

well... did he sand down the gun metal finish and then prime it and paint over it 3 coats and clear coat it? thats the standard rim process that would work b.c. for it to flake back to gunmetal then the job is not being done right also clean the rim thoroughly with paint thinner it takes off all grime and dirt
