That was exactly what I was afraid of and hesitating to take the plunge. Stock 16" rims are 23lbs. Getting anything close to or less than 23lbs in any larger size requires forged wheels which would help maintain power.

What tires did you put on yours?

My son who has a modded pearl white Infinity G35 , wants the roof painted black; I may do that for him since I have the right equipment. I suggested a vinly roof but he was not keen. Would you consider painting the roof?

my brother-in-law has 3pc 22's on his 6 series and they slow his car down aswel. it really doenst matter if the rims are 1,2 or 3 pc they will slow your car down.
im running used nitto 245/30/20front (from brothers old car) and brand new falken 452 285/25/20rear

i wouldnt paint the roof, remember paint is permanent and vinyl is not. if done right vinyl will look just as good as paint and it wont hurt the resale value.

Good choice of tire sizes.

I'm thinking Michelins when I get around to it.

Agreed about the vinyl roof and resale value (something I've never cared about). I used to have a silver car (in the old days, 1968 Ford Cortina Estate which I purchased in 1972 in the UK) that had a black vinyl roof which remained perfect for the 6 years I owned it. A Vinyl roof was very popular in those days; I guess it must be the same today.

i had michelin ps2's on my 760 but one tire got a bubble in the sidewall, rahter easly. after that i switched to goodyears and loved them. just as good as the Michelins imo without the large pricetag. so far the falkens i have on the 320 are awesome when its dry, i have to wait till it rains to see how good they are in wet conditions

Damn nice Diesel. Wish MB considered the NA market when selling these and put the same wheels and body kit that the E350 got. Those rims are "teh sex", but a real shame how lame the stock rims are...

its a shame that the e320 doesnt come with any good options. eg, no steering wheel shifter, no leather seats, no pano roof, no exhaust tips,no P2 package, no amg kit package, no airmatic suspension & the list goes on.

Did you have fewer options in 09 or fewer options available in Canada? You may be ready for the new E63 (I'm looking at it) though my Bluetec has the following factory options as part of CPO:
  • Wood Steering Wheel
  • Leather Seats
  • Pano Roof
  • P2 package
  • Rear/Passenger window shades
  • Ipod Interface

    Own or subsequent Installs
  • OEM E63 Spoiler: Installed by local MB dealer
  • Exhaust Tips: Aftermarket (look and work great; see photos in my album)
  • 19" Wheels

AMG Kit: This is something you can do yourself

I love my Bluetec

those options are not available for the E320 in canada+
MB should give the E320 the same options it offers the E350

Where did you get the LED tails? Or did the car come with those in Canada?
