2006 E350
Newbie enthralled with MB
I can't afford a new Benz. My first was a euro 1979 500 SEL, which got me hooked. It got totaled by an unlicensed, illegal with no insurance running a red light while driving an unlicensed Chevy pick-up truck (I survived - the car didn't). I just bought a 2006 E350 with 11K miles to replace my 1990 300E with 208K miles on it. I'm in heaven. This car is absolutely cherry and is my personal time capsule. Every moment spent in this car is a joy. I've owned BMW's, Alfas, Hondas and American cars...there is absolutely no comparison. Some day I hope to find a late low mileage S-class! There is no better value than a clean used Mercedes! Thanks for listening!

Congrats and have fun. I was sort of in the same boat. I had older MBs in the past but since then mostly other Euro cars.
I'm not too sure if the new ones are as nicely built as the older ones, nor will last as long. I don't think you'll see that kind of high mileage anymore. Hopefully I'm wrong on that.
But they are still very enjoyable.

Congratulations!! It is a beautiful car, if I say so myself. I just got my first MB and I am really enjoying mine too! I have always wanted one and finally I am in the financial position to pull the trigger.
